The start of August usually signals to many families that the summer is drawing to a close and school will be starting once again.

Upcoming Events in the Peoria, Illinois Area

Here’s a sampling of some of the fun, family-friendly events going on in the next couple of week in the Peoria, Illinois area:

German Dinners: The Lindenhof in Peoria will host weekly traditional German food dinners  now through Sept. 9.  These events will also feature live entertainment from area German groups.

  • Admission: Meal price is $11.  Children eat for half price.  Desserts are $2.

Music at the Vineyard: Mackinaw Valley Vineyard will host a music night every Saturday through Sept. 24.

Summer Fest: Come enjoy live entertainment every Wednesday through Saturday during the Old Quarters Summer Fest on Water Street. Various local bands will perform during this series, including Bogside Zukes and Joe and Jerry.
