This Peoria County community, which boasts an array of public museums and parks, had a population of just 1,945 as of the 2000 Census.

Here’s a look at the current state of the Elmwood real estate market, based on the most recent data from Trulia:
- Currently there are 32 resale and new homes on the market, including 1 in the pre-foreclosure, auction or bank-owned stages.
- Between August and October, the median sales price for an Elmwood home was $108,500, which is a 171.3 percent increase when compared to the same period last year.
- Last year, the median sales price for a home was $40,000.
- For the week ending on Nov. 9, the average listing price for an Elmwood home was $104,656, which is a 5.4 percent decrease when compared to the week before.
- Home sales prices in Elmwood have appreciated 6.4 percent over the last 5 years.
